Persimmon trees are always loved + this profession is no exception. I've been growing this houseplant for a few years but every time winter comes, it's a bit of a 'plant care test' with keeping this Tradescantia fluminensis tricolor happy. The first thing to say is that this is a beautiful plant. It's a plant that's worth struggling a bit during the colder months. Care for Tradescantia fluminensis quadricolor

LIGHT
Compared to the previous year, I moved the plants away from the desk + instead placed the pot about 1m from the south-facing window, mostly avoiding direct light. On bright days it should get about 45 minutes of direct late afternoon sun but not much. It was crammed among the other trees on my shelf. In terms of keeping plants pink and beautiful, I find this level of light really works well for color transitions. If you notice your plants turning green (sometimes due to insufficient light), you'll want to cut off particularly green stems + remove. This gives the plant more energy for pinker, more colorful growth – you can do this whenever you prune the plant.

TEMPERATURE
I noticed that this year my Tradescantia fluminensis plants coped quite well with the lower temperatures. It's the other side of the room for my radiator + I only have a single layer of glass so at night things tend to get a bit cold in there. I think this cooler temperature is key to keeping growth slow (it doesn't hibernate) but also making things less brittle.

Humidity
Humidity for Tradescantia fluminensis quadricolor is important. If the plant is placed in an environment with too low humidity, the leaves tend to curl or damage the tips of the leaves. Because it is often grown in a hanging form, the wind and sun will help the tree tend to dry out, the tree is rarely dead by "over-watered", but on the contrary, the tree is also often deprived of moisture. If the humidity is <70 80%, it is recommended to add moisture by lightly misting the plants in the evening (avoid spraying when the sun is hot, which can easily burn leaves) and try not to stagnate the water.

BREEDING
If your plant looks like it's wilting, the best thing to do is take cuttings like I did at the beginning – there's nothing wrong with that! As with all of the above, I'm still taking some cuttings this winter to get the shape of the tree and get rid of the cracks (there will always be some small ones!) The easiest way to improve a tree. shriveled tree is pruning for it. , root + then replant in the old pot to create a fuller shape. I just followed my own advice here and prune some other hanging plants… Philodendron brasil

Fertilizer
About fertilizing can use mixed fertilizers containing more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Usually fertilize once every two weeks, the plant will grow strongly, the color is bright.

Thus, in order for the pink jasmine bonsai to thrive, you need to understand some key points in tree care. With such a new tree gives a beautiful, romantic pink color as desired.

Pests
In general, if in a well-ventilated environment, grow in a light, well-drained, moisture-free medium that does not stagnate the plant is not a problem. But with negative changes in one of the above indicators, the tree will be infected with one of the most common diseases and pests.
